The flood detector is powered by a 9V Alkaline battery (included), this model triggers an alert if the sensor is activated.

This is an instant 'Plug & Play' sensor via one of the switch sensor channels on the back of the any compatible Room Alert monitor. Cable distance can be extended from the standard 25' (7.62 m) to approximately 900' (274.32 m) by using standard speaker wire, twisted pair or any reliable low voltage 2-wire cable.
